Il Borgo profiled on VENUEitalia.com

Convegni is an Italian publishing company specializing in the meeting, incentive, conference and event industries. A recent update to their VENUEitalia.com website profiles Castello Banfi Il Borgo – Luxury Rooms and Suites.

A hotel with 14 rooms and suites for Castello Banfi, the producer of the famous Brunello di Montalcino wine.

The medieval fortress known today as Castello Banfi, an estate owned by the Mariani family, producer of the Brunello and other renowned Tuscan wines, dominates the surrounding vineyards that stretch over 2,830 hectares in the Tuscan countryside around Montalcino.

Following restoration that respected traditional Tuscan architecture, the castle now boasts Il Borgo, a small elegant and refined hotel. In the old 18th century hamlet, in the shadows of the castle walls and towers, nine large rooms and five suites in perfect Tuscan style have been added, offering exclusive vinotherapy cosmetics and toiletries designed to relax the body.

The Castello Banfi complex also has the Enoteca, where guests can taste and buy wines, [a glass museum], two restaurants (one informal, the Taverna Banfi, and the more exclusive Ristorante Castello Banfi, awarded a Michelin star in 2007), a balsameria where its own balsamic vinegar is produced and aged. Also available are a 50seat conference room, reading room, gym, garden with pergola and a beautiful swimming pool with views of the hills and vineyards.
